Stanley Bostitch MCN150 - STRAPSHOT Metal Connector Nailer
Bostitch recently released their STRAPSHOT metal connector nailer. Basically its to compete with what we have used palm nailers, Senco HN150, Senco HN250 or the Paslode F250S-PP. Due to increased building codes you now need to fill almost every hole in a metal connector, using a hammer can take more time than you would want so this nailer is made to be lighter and smaller and also exposes the tip of the nail so you can line it up with your pilot hole on the metal. Backed by Bostitch’s 7 Year Limited Warranty and prices in around $230 USD, it could be a good replacement for your hammer if you do a lot of this type of work.
Bostitch STRAPSHOT metal connector nailer Features:
- Compact design fits between 12″ O.C. joists
- Low nail lockout prevents dry fires
- Exclusive safety system prevents misfires
- Exposed nail tip design fires in the hole for faster, more precise nailing
- Drives 1-1/2″ paper tape collated metal connector nails (.131″ - .148″ diameter)
