Hitachi HXP 18 Volt Battery
Just came across Hitachi’s new HXP Lithium-ion battery pack, not only will it fit your current tools that with with the DMR and DVF3 series 18 volt Packs, it weights 1/2 that of a regular NI-Cad battery and it lasts 3x the running time of Ni-Cad and Ni-MH com parables.
They have internal electronics that protect against overcharge and discharge and Hitachi is claiming they will recharge 1300 - 1500 times compared to NI-Cad’s which fall short at 500 charges.
Thats a pretty cool battery, seems to retail any where from $75 to $110 depending where you are.
