Iron Grip Lifting Clamps derive their name from the safety mechanism, consisting of a locking device, a tension spring and a lever. Once the lever has been engaged, the safety mechanism provides constant pre-tensioning of the cam on the steel plate, thereby ensuring the clamp will not slip when lifting force is applied. When a load is being lifted the clamping force is increased by the weight of the load. It also ensures that the clamp will not work itself loose form the plate as the load is being lowered and the lifting force removed.
Iron Grip lifting clamps have been designed solely for the lifting and transport of steel plates and structures where it is possible to place the clamp on a flat point of contact. Exceptions are HP clamps which can lift concrete pipe and D/DU clamps which are designed to grip the rolled lip of steel drums.
Permissible operating positions for Iron Grip clamps are:
Lifting and transporting from a vertical position (V, VW, VEW, VH, VB, VU, VUW, ,VUH, NM, NMW, D, DU)
Lifting and transporting from a horizontal position (all clamps above, plus H, HW, HS, HP. Note: All ‘H’ style clamps must be used in pairs!)
Lifting and transporting from a sideload position (clamps with a universal hoisting eye and NM/NMW clamps only, maximum sideload for NM/NMW clamps is 15 degrees)
Special application: BE, for lifting ‘I’ beams.
WARNING: A reduced safe working load applied when listing form other than a vertical position.

Terrier Type TSHP Lifting Clamp is designed with an extra wide and deep jaw opening. It is equipped with a safety locking mechanism to prevent accidental load disengagement.
Terrier Type FBK Lifting Clamp for lifting and transport of steel beams, profiles, and structures where the load must stay in position. Angled hoisting eye keeps load centered and locking mechanism prevents accidental disengagement of load.
Terrier Type TDH Lifting Clamp for horizontal lifting and transport of sagging steel plates. Compact design and high capacity. Always used in pairs or multiples thereof.
Terrier Type TNMK Non-Marring Lifting Clamp for lifting and transport of easily damaged plates and sheets such as stainless steel, aluminum, wood and marble.
Terrier Type TPH Lifting Clamp for horizontal lifting of steel and concrete pipe. Compact shape and low weight with high lift capacity. Replaceable plastic jaws prevent damage to pipe.
Terrier Type TSCC Screw Lifting Clamp for vertical and horizontal lifting and transport of a large variety of steel structures. Fitted with a moveable cam on the threaded spindle providing powerful clamping pressure.
Terrier Type TVK Vertical Lifting Clamp for safe lifting and transport of steel drums. 500kg capacity. Can be used individually or in pairs.
Terrier Type TVKH Lifting Clamp for lifting and transport of steel drums where the drum must remain in a vertical position. Capacity 600kg.
Terrier TSU/TSUH Lifting Clamp for lifting and transport of steel plate and structures to and from all positions. Equipped with locking safety mechanism to prevent accidental disengagement of the load.
Terrier Type FSV Lifting Clamp for horizontal lifting and transport of I-beams and similar structures. It can also be used upside down as a temporary lifting point. Available in capacities from 1 to 5 tonnes (5000kg).
Terrier Type TS/TSH Lifting Clamp for vertical lifting and transport of steel plate and structures. Iron Grip vertical clamps are equipped with a safety locking mechanism to prevent accidental disengagement of the load.
Terrier Type H Horizontal Lifting Clamp for horizontal lifting and transport of steel plates. Compact design and low weight with high lifting capacity. Capacities up to 12 tonnes Per Pair.
